Didi Sommer 1965
Comedian, director, actor, puppeteer
Following successful completion of the Scuola Teatro Dimitri in 1989, Didi Sommer appeared in countless productions as comedian, musician and artiste. The focus of his varied and passionate work is humour and comedy. With Comedia Zap (formerly Zap Ensemble), which he co-founded in 1991, he has appeared as comedian in a great number of circus productions, variety shows, theatre productions and festivals in Switzerland and abroad.
In the past 15 years, as a director, he has successfully staged several productions for the theatre, circus and music shows. For six years Comedia Zap orchestrated a dinner variety show at the Restaurant Krone in Bätterkinden, which grew into an insider’s tip. Several times, Didi Sommer together with Comedia Zap developed the concept for Circus Monti’s annual productions. In these productions he also appeared as a clown with enthusiastic audience response. He has since played together with Comedia Zap in several variety shows and theatres and enjoys great success with corporate events.
Cécile Steck 1969
Comedian, artiste, producer
After completing training as a draughtswoman, Cécile Steck began living her dream of working in the circus. Following three years on tour with Circus Monti, she consolidated her new vocation by training as a professional trapeze artiste in France and Germany. She was consequently booked for numerous appearances in the circus, in variety shows, on stage and in festivals in Switzerland and abroad.
Cécile Steck joined Comedia Zap in 1996 and, as a result, visual comedy became an integral part of her work and life. In this formation, she successfully produced various productions for the stage, circus, festivals and theatre. For six years Comedia Zap orchestrated a dinner variety show at the Restaurant Krone in Bätterkinden, which grew into an insider’s tip.
In her capacity as producer for Comedia Zap, she successfully produced several programmes for Circus Monti, where she also met with an enthusiastic audience in her role as a clown. She has since played together with Comedia Zap in several variety shows and theatres and enjoys great success with corporate events.
